Qeqertarsuaq
Volcanic Island and Historic Town in the Heart of Disko Bay
Qeqertarsuaq, formerly known as Godhavn, is dramatically located on Disko Island off Greenland’s west coast. Surrounded by basalt mountains, lush valleys, and towering icebergs drifting through Disko Bay, the town is a hub of natural wonder. It is home to the Arctic Station, an international research center, and offers excellent hiking, seal-watching, and a rich cultural history dating back to the 18th century. Highlights include the Kuannit waterfall and nearby hot springs.
