Lombardy
Italy’s Economic Powerhouse
Lombardy is one of Italy’s wealthiest and most populous regions, known for its financial and industrial capital, Milan. Milan is famous for its fashion, design, and cultural attractions such as the Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper. Lombardy is also home to beautiful lakes, including Lake Como and Lake Garda, which are surrounded by picturesque towns and mountains. The region’s cuisine ranges from hearty dishes like risotto alla Milanese and osso buco to the sweet Panettone, a Christmas favorite.
