Home of the Icefjord – UNESCO World Heritage Site
Ilulissat is Greenland’s most visited town, famed for the Ilulissat Icefjord, where massive icebergs calve into Disko Bay. The town is also near Sermeq Kujalleq, one of the most active glaciers in the world. Visitors can take boat tours, hike the marked trails near the fjord, or experience local Inuit culture. Ilulissat also offers dog sledding, kayaking, and midnight sun views.
