Promenade Plantée
Elevated Greenway
The Promenade Plantée, also known as the Coulée Verte René-Dumont, is a unique elevated park in Paris that predates New York City’s High Line. Stretching over 4.7 kilometers along an old railway line, it offers a green escape above the bustling streets of Paris’s 12th arrondissement. Lined with trees, flowers, and artistic installations, the pathway takes visitors through tunnels, under arches, and past manicured gardens, providing a tranquil yet scenic experience. Along the way, it also offers glimpses of Parisian architecture, charmingly combining urban and natural landscapes, making it a favorite for walkers, runners, and photographers alike.
