Campania
Where the Land Meets the Sea
Campania is known for its stunning coastline, rich history, and vibrant cities. Naples, the capital, is famous for its lively street life, historic sites like Pompeii and Herculaneum, and as the birthplace of pizza. The Amalfi Coast is one of the world’s most picturesque coastlines, with towns like Amalfi, Positano, and Ravello perched on cliffs overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Mount Vesuvius, an active volcano, looms over the Bay of Naples. Campania is also known for its culinary contributions, including pizza Margherita, mozzarella di bufala, and limoncello.
