Helicopter Summit Flight Experience

Embarking on a helicopter tour from Nuuk to the summit of Sermitsiaq Mountain offers an unparalleled adventure, blending breathtaking aerial views with the thrill of landing near one of Greenland’s most iconic peaks.

Sermitsiaq stands at 1,210 meters and is a prominent landmark near Nuuk, Greenland’s capital. Its distinctive saddle-shaped ridge and glacier-clad northern face make it a symbol of the city, even featured on Nuuk’s flag and coat of arms. The mountain is situated on its own island within the expansive Nuup Kangerlua (Godthåbsfjord), approximately 15 kilometers northeast of Nuuk.

The adventure begins at Nuuk Airport, where you’ll meet your experienced pilot for a safety briefing before boarding the helicopter. The flight offers panoramic views of Nuuk and the surrounding fjord system. Depending on weather conditions, the pilot will choose to land near the summit of either Sermitsiaq or Kingittorsuaq Mountain. Landing on snow-covered terrain may require multiple attempts to ensure a stable platform.
