Hvalsey Church Ruins
Best-Preserved Norse Ruin in Greenland
Hvalsey Church, near Qaqortoq, is the most famous and intact Norse ruin in Greenland. Dating to the 14th century, it was the site of the last documented Norse event in Greenlandic history (a wedding in 1408). Set beside the fjord, it’s a stunning reminder of Viking presence.
