Jelling Monuments
Historic Viking monuments
The Jelling Monuments, located in Jutland, are iconic remnants of Denmark's Viking past and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The two massive rune stones, raised by King Gorm the Old and his son Harald Bluetooth, mark the Christianization of Denmark and the unification of the kingdom. The site also features large burial mounds and a modern visitor center that explores the significance of Viking culture and its impact on Danish history.
